Paul Asbury Seaman Space music with a rock and roll sensibility--one of the rare examples where that combo really works! I'm blown away by this album and artist (a random Bandcamp discovery). VAAST has such an exciting and fresh sound that really stands out in the flood of DIY ambient and disco-sounding "chill" music out there these days. Favorite track: Dust to Dust.

about

'Odyssey', my third album was the first in which I had my own studio, hence the addition of drums facilitated by a Roland V drum kit. This was the only major change since the previous album but it drove the sound in a totally new direction, blending rock more into the centre role. Guitar and piano are used throughout alongside my love of arpeggios. The final tracks were inspired by the passing of my Grandmother, raising questions about the nature of existence and the temporality of life. This then inspired a more in-depth exploration in the following album which was a direct continuation of the ideas of Odyssey.
